PDC Drill Bits

10 5/8" 5‑Blade Skew Blade PDC Bit With 1913 PDC Cutters

This 10 5/8" 5‑skew‑blade PDC bit features an asymmetric skew‑blade design, different from conventional straight‑blade bits. The inclined blade arrangement optimizes bottom‑hole cuttings evacuation, reduces re‑grinding of rock debris, lowers bit balling risk, and delivers stable drilling performance.

Equipped with 1913 PDC cutters as primary cutting elements. This cutter provides balanced impact resistance and abrasion resistance. When drilling interbedded soft‑hard formations, it maintains high rock‑breaking efficiency and slows down cutter chipping and wear, maximizing total drilling footage per bit.

Standard connection thread is 3‑1/2 REG . The bit body is made of 42CrMo alloy steel with hardening treatment for high torsion and shear resistance, compatible with most standard downhole BHA assemblies. Custom thread service is available. Thread types including NC, IF, FH and others can be manufactured to match clients’ existing drill pipes and drill collars without extra equipment modification.

Applicable Formations Suitable for medium‑soft to medium‑hard formations: mudstone, shale, sandstone, siltstone and limestone. It performs well in alternating soft‑hard interbeds and moderately abrasive sandy rock. Not recommended for continuous heavy‑duty drilling in highly abrasive dense quartzite or heavy gravel layers.

Application Fields

  1. Water well drilling: Medium‑deep municipal water supply wells and agricultural irrigation wells
  2. Geological exploration: Shallow mineral exploration drilling (coring & non‑coring)
  3. Mining engineering: Mine ventilation holes, drainage holes and anchor bolt holes
  4. Geothermal drilling: Shallow‑medium geothermal well development
  5. Shallow oil & gas: Surface section drilling for shallow oil‑gas projects

Key Advantages

  1. Skew‑blade geometry improves cuttings discharge and mitigates bit balling with less drilling vibration
  2. 1913 PDC cutters balance ROP and service life for excellent overall cost‑performance
  3. High‑strength bit body. Standard 3‑1/2 REG thread plus customizable thread for various client equipment
  4. 5‑blade design ensures even bottom‑hole force distribution, good hole verticality and low hole deviation risk
  5. Direct from manufacturer. Customization available for blade layout, nozzle configuration and cutter placement.
