PDC Drill Bits

6 1/2 Inch 165mm 6 Blade PDC Bit

This 6 1/2-inch (165mm) 6-blade PDC bit is a high-adaptability, wear-resistant, and high-efficiency core drilling equipment independently developed by our factory for global multi-region drilling conditions. Equipped with standard 1308 PDC cutters and 3 1/2REG connection thread, it supports full-spec custom thread services. Adopting an optimized 6-blade hydrodynamic structure, the bit balances rock-breaking efficiency, cuttings removal capacity and structural stability. It is perfectly suitable for soft, medium-soft and medium-hard complex formations, widely used in water well drilling, geothermal development, mine drilling, shallow oil and gas exploration, and engineering geological survey, serving localized drilling operations in Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and other regions worldwide.
The core configuration is optimized for global working conditions. The 1308 PDC cutters are made of high-wear and impact-resistant composite materials, which are not easy to chip and wear evenly in interbedded and soft-hard alternating formations, ensuring stable rate of penetration continuously. The symmetrically arranged 6-blade design widens the junk slot, effectively solves stuck drilling and cuttings blockage problems, and greatly reduces downhole failures. The standard 3 1/2REG thread features firm connection and easy assembly, compatible with most mainstream drilling rigs worldwide. Meanwhile, customized threads such as NC, IF, FH are available to match local drilling tools in different countries without equipment modification.
Suitable Formations
Applicable to mudstone, soft shale, siltstone, loose sandstone, limestone, clastic interbedded rock and medium-cemented formations with a small amount of abrasive impurities. Tailored for shallow and medium-depth drilling formations in multiple countries, not suitable for ultra-hard and highly abrasive dense rock strata.

Global Regional Application & Working Condition Adaptation

1. Germany (European Standard Drilling) : German drilling formations are dominated by shallow sandstone, clay rock and chalk with stable rock properties, mainly used for agricultural water wells, shallow geothermal drilling and engineering investigation. This 6-blade PDC bit adapts to 20-50MPa medium-hard formations in Germany. It features stable drilling performance and regular wellbore, matching local light-duty drilling equipment. It meets European drilling standards of low failure rate and long service life, showing excellent performance in geothermal and civil water well projects.
2. Romania (Central European Complex Interbedded Formations) : Romanian drilling strata are mainly conglomerate and sandstone interbeds with a hardness range of 40-80MPa, featuring uneven hardness and dense interlayers, which require high impact resistance for drill bits. Optimized blade structure and thickened 1308 cutters enable the bit to cope with local conglomerate crushing and soft-hard alternating drilling conditions. With excellent chipping and impact resistance, it is ideal for agricultural deep wells and geological exploration drilling in Romania, solving the problems of rapid wear and low footage of ordinary bits.
3. Nigeria (African Diverse Formation Drilling) : Nigeria covers diverse geological conditions, including shallow sandstone and water-sensitive soft mudstone in the Niger Delta, as well as gneiss, metamorphic limestone and karst limestone in northern Nigeria. Aiming at local water well drilling, mine blast hole drilling and shallow oil-gas exploration projects, this PDC bit solves the common construction pain points such as mudstone collapse and difficult drilling of limestone interlayers. With stable rock-breaking performance and efficient cuttings removal design, it improves drilling success rate and adapts to harsh field operating environments in Africa.
4. Philippines (Southeast Asian Shallow Soft Formations) : The Philippines is dominated by loose sedimentary rock, weathered sandstone and shale with rich shallow aquifers. Local drilling projects focus on civil water supply wells, rural water conservancy projects and small-scale mine drilling. Optimized for Southeast Asian soft formations, this bit achieves smooth rock penetration, low hole enlargement rate and high well-forming quality. It is perfectly suitable for large-scale civil drilling projects in the Philippines with low construction cost and high working efficiency.
